Tangible Property

Tangible property is property that you can actually see (or feel, taste, or smell), such as automobiles, business equipment, and real estate. The term is used to distinguish it from Intangible Property.

The costs of acquiring or improving tangible property usually are recovered through Depreciation.

See also Capitalization.
