Periodically, I gather in a new client with whom I will have weekly meetings for 18 consecutive months on the person’s finances and investments. Often these meetings occur during a lunch for which we go “Dutch treat.” I write off the lunches but worry that I am violating the Tax Reduction Letter guideline on too many lunches with the same person or perhaps too many lunches in one year.
