I have a question about the excellent file-and-suspend Social Security article that I read in your February 2016 issue. (Loophole Closing: Act Immediately to Claim $50,000 Extra from Social Security).
My question: Do both the person filing for Social Security retirement benefits and the spouse need to be at least age 66 to qualify for the benefits of the file-and-suspend strategy?
