Based on my understanding of your course materials, I believe my CPA is living in the dark ages. He tells me

I cannot deduct a home office for my real estate sales business because Coldwell Banker supplies an office for me.

2.

I can deduct a home office for my rental properties.

3.

I have to use the gross square footage method to compute the deduction (not net square footage, as your book explains).
