I am a REALTOR®, attended one of the seminars where one of your speakers spoke, and bought your on-the-go business deductions tax course.
I remember an example that I think went like this: if you entertain clients at your home, then you can deduct landscaping, driveway, and hardscape expenses as home-office expenses (with the appropriate percentages, of course), because your home reflects your expertise as a realtor and needs to look presentable.
Is there an actual case that you can name where someone won this challenge in court? My accountant is not comfortable deducting this expense without a case. ... Log in to view full article.
