1031 Exchange of SUV for Hybrid Car


In 2003, I bought a Toyota Land Cruiser with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) greater than 6,000 pounds and wrote off the entire $52,000 cost. I could sell the vehicle today for about $30,000, but I will have to pay recapture taxes on the $30,000.
