Wages on Schedule E


I spoke with my CPA about hiring my wife to work on my rental properties. She told me that I can’t deduct wages paid to my wife because Schedule E does not allow wages. (F.A., Santa Barbara, CA)

 

Wow. You need a new CPA. Try to find a CPA who has many clients who own and operate rental properties.
