Fix for Charity Mileage Rate?


The September 3, 2008, Daily Tax Report, a publication of the Bureau of National Affairs, reported that Senate Finance Committee ranking member Grassley will support S. 3246, which would allow the IRS to change the standard mileage rates used for claiming charitable deductions. This is good news for Girl Scout moms, church volunteers, and all others who use their vehicles to help their favorite 501(c)(3) charities.
